Cost Seg Owl is a DBA of The Western Group Realty. This policy explains what we collect when you use costsegowl.com and our study workspace, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Estimate details you type into the calculator: property type, cost, land percentage, tax rate, and your email if you choose to give it.
- Account and order details: your name, email, and order history. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never receive your full card number.
- Study materials you upload: property details, closing statements, invoices, photos, and videos, including photo metadata such as date and location.
- Basic technical data: server logs such as IP address and browser type, kept for security.
How we use it
- To build, score, and deliver your study.
- To send your study links, receipts, and service emails.
- If you gave us your email for an estimate, to send a short series of follow-up emails about it. Every marketing email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
Our AI features send your uploaded photos and documents to AI model providers that process them only to produce your study. We do not sell your personal information.
Sharing
We share data only with providers who run the service for us (payment processing, hosting, email, and AI processing), when you ask us to (for example, sharing a study with your preparer), or when the law requires it.
Retention and deletion
We keep studies so you can return to them and support your tax records. You can delete a study in your workspace at any time. To delete your account and all of your data, email ollie@costsegowl.com from your account email.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including California under the CCPA/CPRA, you may have the right to know, access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to not be discriminated against for using those rights. Email us to make a request.
